
The problem here is users that installed standard 1.5v-1.65v DDR3 in these 1.35v DDR3L slots were slowly frying the Memory controller which kills the CPU.


(It's a Macbook Pro 13' mid 2012 - model A1278)ĭDR5 is actually a variant of DDR3 in that it uses the same slot but can fill and empty its available RAM storage about 10% faster then DDR3 RAM. Last year I upgraded my macbook ram from 8gb to 16gb.
